Xmas Wishes

The challenge this week over at Die Cut Dreams christmas is Xmas wishes so I went through my stamps and found this one from about 10 years ago and decided to give it another go.

As I was getting everything together I couldn't think how to put white as the base layer until I remembered my embossing folder. How following these challenges is making me use my materials is great.
Anyway I have embossed the white card then used some foil I bought a few years ago from the tv along with the printed parchment paper.
I've stamped and embossed the mesage then mounted it onto red mirri card then finished it off with some gems.
I've added a flower in one corner and some more gems in the other and some ribbon
Thankyou for looking.

Fairy

Well it's been nearly a week since I last posted a card, it's good to see that football is back for me!
For this card I have actually done more than one challenge which for me is an achievement.

The fairy was a freebie from a Papercraft magazine last year and I have used pro markers, sacura pens and tried out my cosmic shimmer powder.
The backing paper is from a pad I found when I visited the states 2 years ago and was a dollar!
The pink paper was some leftover in my box that I put through a cuttlebug to see how it looked, so it was finally used. The brown was also leftover from a previous card.
The flowers I bought from Orchardcrafts flowers after seeing them used so much on blog sites and they really are gorgeous. I have just added some glitter to them, well you can't have a fairy without any glitter.
the challenges are; Fairy tales@ Secret Crafter
Pink, chocolate and white @ Colour create
Anything goes @Digi Doodles.
Thankyou for looking.

Santa

The challenge at Die Cut Dreams Christmas club this week is Santa.
For this I have used the Sketch Saturday layout.
The papers were bits from my christmas scrap box that I have glittered.
The stamp I have had for a few years now and think I bought them from the tv!!!
I have coloured him with felt tips, used applique on his white bits chalked the edges and finished off with a bit of glitter
I've used three buttons in the bottom corner and finished off with a small greeting.
Thankyou for looking.

Old Wreck

This weeks challenge over at Digi Doodles Shops is Use Those Scraps so that is what I have done for this card.
I've got three different kind of pattern paper and cut them into squares, then stressed the edges.
These are mounted onto blue card that was a left over.
I've stamped a mini from a set of kanban stamps onto spare card and cut round it. Then used my nesties to cut a white and blue out and inked round these edges.
To finish I have used gems for the lights and clear glazed the windscreen buttons in one corner and a greeting in the other .
The buttons have the backing from the ribbon bow in the corner in them.
Thanks for looking.

Beary Christmas

The challenge at Die Cut Dreams christmas this week is Bears.
The stamp was a freebie from a magazine last year that I have stamped and coloured with promarkers.
I've chalked the edges to take off that "stark" look of white.
The papers were also freebies from yet another magazine from a couple of years ago.
The cross-over strips are glittered over extra strong sellotape.
Then to finish off I have added jewels into the corners.
I don't normally use these colours for christmas so am quite pleased with the results, although I don't know whether to add a little rose bud at either side of the image.
Thank-you for looking.
Hugs xx

Gothic Rock Girl

I've decided to go away from cutie image for this challenge over at Sketch Saturday.
The image is from Charmed cards and Crafts and I have coloured her with pro-markers.
I've coloured her boots with Sakura glaze then finished off by chalking the edges.
I then mounted it onto silver mirri board.
The backing paper is from My Craft Studio and printed onto red paper.
The strips are red card punch with Martha Stuart punch then some black ribbon with red ribbon over the top.
To finish off I have put fake black stitching around the edge and then black rose and a red bow.
Thankyou for looking.

Sister

I've made this for my sister using the CPL Sketch Challenge 27.
.
I've coloured her with pro-markers and chalked the edges.
The backing papers are from Cuddly Buddy matted and layered.
I've added some pearls along the straight edge and some flowers along the shaped edge which I've glittered.
To finish I have typed the message on my pc and added some gems.
Thankyou for looking.
PS. I was also asked to join the Digi Doodles shops best challenge for this card as it met with their criteria, so I did. Thankyou very much for pointing this out to me.  I'm still at bit of a newbie to all of this.xx

Tuesday 6 July 2010

It's raining again!

For this card I have linked two challenges.
The first was "recipe" at Daisy Doodles Creative Challenges.
The second is "water" at Secret Crafter.
I've coloured the image with promarkers, chalked the edge and glittered.
Mounted it onto a Martha Stewart punched Card then used 2 pattern papers glittering the top one.
The three brads are on the ribbon.

Strawberries and cream

My next card was made for the challenge over at Secret Crafter, only I missed the closing date!!
Still I am posting it on here to show that I have been busy.

The image was a free download and I can't remember where from. Can anyone help me and tell me how to remember where my images come from please?
The strawberry backing paper was from a free booklet in a craft magazine last year and the gingham was also from a different free book.
I've punched the flower and added gems in all corners.

Thanks for looking.

Christmas Wreath

I can't belive that it is a fortnight since I last posted any cards.
I thought I would have a change and make a christmas card and thought I would use the challenge
over at Die cut dreams christmas club.
It looks ok but I feel there is something missing on it and can't quite think what!!!

The stamp was given to me a few years ago now and I've embossed it with green powder then mounted it onto green mirri card.
I've put some backing paper from Sue Smith onto the card and finished off with a poinsetta and a greeting.
